Orium tyres are manufactured in the Michelin-owned Tigar Tyres factory in Pirot, Serbia, a factory that has been making rubber products since 1935. Tyre production began there in 1959, with the first radial tyre leaving the production line in 1972. The Orium brand was created in 2013, to fulfil the needs of the passenger car market. In the late 1970s, Orium entered a joint venture with renowned American tyre company BFGoodrich (now owned by Michelin), which would eventually lead to BFGoodrich becoming the majority owner of Orium.
