The Falken company is owned by Sumitomo Rubber Industries, one of the world’s largest tyre manufacturers. The brand was created in Japan in 1983, expanded to Europe five years later, and then made the move into the US in 1991. Falken has been heavily involved in motorsports since the late 1990s, both as a sponsor and a successful competitor, performing well in the ADAC 24-hour Race at the Nürburgring.
